Education is a must for a promising and secure future and a stable life. That is why it has been a priority for the European Union. In our days, 70 million Europeans lack adequate reading and writing skills, and even more have poor numeracy and digitals skills. 40% of European employers report that they cannot find people with the right skills to grow and innovate. Without a proper education there is a high risk of unemployment, poverty and social exclusion. The Commission has launch 10 actions to help Europeans to have more and better skills.
