Paul Harris is a Policy Officer in the ‘Training and mobility of researchers; Marie Curie’ unit of the European Commission, at the Directorate-General for Education and Culture. This unit is responsible for the policy strategy of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) in the EU research and innovation programme Horizon 2020, as well as the supervision of the implementation of the MSCA by the Research Executive Agency (REA).
Paul Harris is the policy lead on the Individual Fellowships of the MSCA, which enable experienced researchers to move to, from, and within Europe. He is also the contact point on MSCA for Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States.
Previously he worked for the European Research Council Executive Agency, after being the Brussels representative of the Scottish and Welsh Universities. His degree in European Studies & French Language allowed him to work with a Member of the European Parliament.
